How can I talk to Angels?
You say you can’t speak with angels; I say you can. Meditation is one way to connect. There will always be distractions. Notice the thoughts that are coming in, acknowledge them and let it go.
Breath, Breath, Breath. Breath is the connection to the angelic realm. I know, you are saying I can’t meditate. I didn’t think I could either. I wouldn’t say I had a lot of preconceived ideas about meditation, but I did think there was a right way to meditate. For example, I thought I had to sit for a long period of time completely silent, legs folded with my hands on my knees. I also thought I had to have a quiet, mind with no thoughts at all. As a beginner doing meditation, it would be impossible to start and be able to sit for an hour and have no thoughts in your mind. It is like asking a seven-year-old who is just learning how to play baseball and expecting him to hit homeruns. You would not have such an expectation on a child just learning a new skill. So don’t have an expectation on yourself. It takes practice, dedication and discipline to be able to sit for a long time and have a clear mind, and only the masters may be able to achieve such a high level of meditation.
The first time you attempt to meditate, what you need to remember is that you have to breath. Breathing is what helps to clear our mind and focus our attention to our physical sensations. As you inhale through your nose, feel the air come in and go through your nasal passages. Feel it as it travels into your lungs and expands your belly. As you exhale, feel your lungs deflate and the air pass through your nasal passage and out of your nostrils. You may only be able to sit for two or three minutes. That is perfectly fine, what matters is that you sat for a few minutes to connect with your higher self, guides and angels. Here is a little secret I learned; we all meditate without even knowing we are doing so. Have you ever found that while you were doing a mundane task random thoughts or ideas pop into your mind?
It may be an answer to a question you were struggling with or an idea that just came out of nowhere. Those are not random thoughts; those are your angels giving you the information you needed. When our conscious mind is distracted with a task that we do not need to focus on, our subconscious mind is able to connect to our angels. This is similar to those moments just before falling asleep and just before you fully awake in the morning. This is meditation. It is that simple.
Now that you know you can meditate and that you are not expected to sit for a specific length of time, try connecting with intention. How do you connect with intention? Use your breathe to connect. It is that simple. As you focus on the breath allow your body to relax. Notice any thoughts that enter your mind, let them flow through. You don’t have to ignore them, and you don’t need to spend anytime addressing them. Bump them out, just as a boat on still water may bump a buoy. You may become aware of physical sensations. A prickly feeling on the skin, a tickle on your face, or a tingling on your scalp. You may also notice a word being spoken, or even see that word in your mind. You may see colors or smell a familiar scent. Notice how these thoughts or images come in as your own thoughts, but they are kinder, gentler and not how you would normally speak to yourself. The angels will use terms that are not familiar to your everyday conversations. They use terms like “Beloved”, “Dear one” “My Child”.
Every time you connect you will notice that you are able to sit for a little longer than you did the last time. Remember connecting with your angels takes dedication, practice, and patience. The more you do it the better at it you will be. You are a beginner, and you are not expected to sit for hours with a clear mind. You may one day get to that level, and you may not. The point is to try and connect as best you can and listen and feel for your angels when you do. Also, you may find that you connect better when you are dancing, walking, or some other activity that allows you to Keep a notebook handy and write down what comes to you. Our next article we will discuss how to connect deeper.
